Climate: Temperatures and precipitations vary
from region to region. Three main seasons exist: the
winter (from November to March); the summer (from April
to June); the monsoon (from July to September-October).
In the winter, which is not rainy, temperatures can
be rigorous in the north and the pre-Himalayan and Himalayan
regions. In New Delhi they range between 6 degrees and
21 degrees Celsius. In the summer, high temperatures
are registered all over the country particularly
in the large plains in the north- with peaks even over
40 degrees. During the monsoon temperatures remain high
(over 30 degrees), and the levels of moisture are really
high.
