AMRA – ANALYSIS AND Monitoring of Environmental Risk
The Centre’s mission consists in the transfer of new technology for the reduction of environmental
risk from research to businesses.
AMRA includes a network of 12 high technology laboratories operating in several fields: industrial
accidents, seismic engineering, seismic early warning, geotechnical engineering, underground
prospecting with geophysical methods, water and ground pollution. These facilities have unique
characteristics at national level, and some also at European level, and can represent one of the
driving force for the local economy, both creating value added and attracting foreigner
investments.
AMRA carries out various activities for the development of new technologies in collaboration with
numerous private companies all over the national territory.
BENECON- Cultural heritage preservation, ecology, economics
BENECON carries out analysis and evaluation of territory, environmental reclaiming, recovery and
maintenance of landscape, archaeological, urban and construction settings and, in addition,
designs and develops green businesses and eco-museum areas.
The Centre is engaged in research activities that include analysis and diagnosis of the environment
to control
the presence and the intensity of physical, chemical and biological impacts and for the
experimental elaboration and verification of right solutions for a sustainable uses of resources. The
productive fields that have a clear affinity with BENECON’s outputs are energy, lighting system,
acoustics, electromagnetic fields, analysis of air quality, of water and of the ground.
BIOTEKNET - Biotechnologies for Industries
BioTekNet involves both structures with scientific and technical competences and structures with
managerial and administrative skills.
The Centre operates in the field of industrial biotechnology and focuses on the development of
new biotechnological production processes and technologies, which utilize biological organisms or
their components, especially: new fermentation technologies, innovative biosensors, biosystems for
water purification, advanced biological applications for food industry.
Further aims are the constitution of a pole providing services and structures where scientific competences converge, the transfer of know-how to industrial technicians and to junior researchers and the production of energy from biomasses as strategic field of the next years.
DFM- Molecular Diagnostic and Pharmaceutical
DFM’s mission is the development and the technological transfer of the applied research results in
the field of degenerative pathologies, infectious diseases and cardiovascular diseases.
The structures, instruments and human competences have allowed to register 20 licences, of which
12 realized with industrial partners. Through the transfer of competences and technologies DFM
aims at local and international areas.
The creation of a biotechnological industrial pole enables the competences absorption from the
related scientific research, the development and the internationalization of its outputs also through
collaboration with foreign academic and manufacturing bodies.
GEAR – Applied Research for genomics
GEAR promotes the development of applied research in human healthcare, facilitating the transfer
of results and supporting industrial development in the fields of structural and functional genomics.
Highly qualified consultancy and services are offered for the development of innovative products
and processes to
public and private enterprises. Its main competitive advantages are the excellent scientific quality
of its activities,
to be found in a high number of scientific collaborations and in national and international scientific
projects, and the
direct connection with the clinical area, in which for long time R&D activities have been
developed by GEAR.
ICT – Information and Communication Technologies
The Centre’s mission is to satisfy the regional and national productive network’s demand for
medium and
long term advanced research in the ICT sector.
Its work is geared towards the technological transfer of attained results and the creation of new
productive entities
through spin-offs or the establishment of specific businesses. The Centre and competences are
Departments and eight Poles. The Departments and the guaranteeing the structural and the
managerial coordination research institutions, building mass of competences and human
resources.
INNOVA – Development and transfer of technologies for cultural heritage and environment
INNOVA’s activities are focused on three macro-areas of the cultural and environmental heritage
sector: diagnostics, conservation and renewal, promotion and use.
INNOVA aims at creating an integrated and stable link between innovation supply and demand,
through an approach based on the overcome of single academic individualities, the continuous
scientific modernisation and the technology transfer. Local bodies, superintendence, museums,
parks are the main beneficiaries.
INNOVA’s strength lies in the network of skills in the field of applied research, in the high quality of its
outputs, in the supply of integrated services systems, in the wide range of applications of its
products and services.
PRODAL- Food and Agricultural
Prodal’s activities are based on specific services for laboratory analysis, engineering and
development of prototype solutions related to all phases of primary production, treatment,
conservation and distribution of food products.
Prodal addresses its action to all actors, who are directly or indirectly linked to the agricultural and
food-field.
Its supply includes the applied research in the field of animal and vegetable raw materials
qualification, identifying and developing innovative techniques to improve food transformation
processes, high-tech technologies and processes of conservation, systems for recovery and
valorisation of waste, food packaging and training course for enterprises and Public Administration.
TECNOLOGIE- New technologies for production activities
The Regional Competence Centre Technology carries out research, development and transfer of
innovative technological solutions within strategic areas for SME (Small and Medium Enterprises)
within Campania’s manufacturing network.
The added value of the Centre is to be recognised in the highly innovative quality of its solutions
related to: polymers, composites and biomaterials; advanced components, devices and sensors;
modelling, planning and testing of industrial applications; industrial engineering; energy systems
integration; automation and control of production processes.
In particular, the Centre has planned actions in the fields of advanced materials for textile, shoe,
biomaterial, aeronautical and electronic section.
TEST - TECHNOLOGY ENVIRONMENT SAFETY TRANSPORT
TEST experiments, in real and virtual settings, the functionality of vehicles and their components, of
infrastructure networks and of propulsion services and systems with a low environmental impact.
Through the collaboration with aerospace and ICT industry, and in tightened synergy with the local
enterprises system, TEST activity is focused on two processes: the innovation in the production of
overland, railway, aerial and marine vehicles, the innovation in the management infrastructure
and services related transportation.
TEST activities cover both domestic international markets, fostered continuous cooperation with
national international bodies in the fields of research and advanced services.
